WDSV EC is a series of energy-saving roof fans with vertical air discharge.
WDSV EC has been designed with comfort ventilation users in mind. Due to the light and compact design, WDSV EC fans can be used wherever access to the ventilation opening is difficult, e.g. on gravitational ventilation chimney shafts or directly on steel pipes of ventilation chimneys. The fans of the WDSV EC series are successfully used e.g. on such facilities as: housing cooperatives, schools, kindergartens, public utility buildings, shops, tenement houses and single-family houses.
The fans are equipped with an energy-saving DC motor with 230V power supply (so-called EC). The EC motor allows for a very wide speed control (practically from 0 to 100%) without overheating the motor. Thanks to this, the user can easily adjust the fan parameters to actual needs. The fan is equipped with a standardized control system with a 0-10V signal, a simple and cheap EC controller is enough to regulate the speed. The fan can also be controlled by smart home systems as a function of temperature or pressure. An additional advantage of the fans is low energy consumption, especially at reduced speed (up to several times lower power consumption than in the case of traditional motors).
The fans of the WDSV EC series have an additional outlet cover directing the air discharge upwards. This solution is especially used in new buildings where fans are placed close to each other. Vertical air discharge reduces noise emitted to the environment, and also increases the dispersion of the emitted air, which is especially useful in the case of extracting odors or fats.
WDSV EC fans have an integrated square mounting plate that allows for direct mounting on chimneys or roof plinths.
