Zone designation:
Z1 – zone in which a mixture of gases, vapors or mists may occur under normal operating conditions.
Z2 – zone where there is a low probability of an explosive mixture of gases, vapors or mists, where the explosive mixture may occur only for a short time.
Z22 – a zone where there is a low probability of an explosive dust mixture and there is a short time, e.g. during a breakdown.
The WOSE fan, thanks to its compact housing, is used in many technological facilities of the chemical industry where there is a risk of gas explosion. WOSE fans are used, among others, in laboratories, paint shops, gas stations, refineries and sewage treatment plants. Explosion-proof fans of the WOSE series can be mounted both on masonry walls and lightweight constructions (aluminum frames, sandwich panels, OSB boards, etc.)
Fans designed for wall mounting. The fans are equipped with an explosion-proof motor with a three-phase power supply dedicated to zone 1 (2G). The fan is not suitable for speed regulation. The fan with the possibility of adjusting the speed with an inverter is available on special request. The fan impeller is made of a special anti-electrostatic material with an aluminum hub. Square fan housing made of steel sheet covered with a special anti-electrostatic coating. At the customer’s special request, it is also possible to make it of acid-resistant steel. The fan impeller has been secured with a protective mesh on the motor side, additionally, at the customer’s request, it is possible to install a mesh on the impeller side. Fans are usually made as exhaust fans (flow from the motor to the impeller). There is also a possibility of execution with reverse flow direction.
